Welcome to the year of the Yang Wood Thunder Dragon! The Dragon is the sign of the Magician. Here are a few incities for the year ahead.

In looking at both of these lists, you get to choose how you are going to experience the Dragon in 2024. Are you going to be pulled into power struggles and lose your temper? Or will you connect to the magic and success?
Yang Wood is the element of growth and opportunity! So make sure to connect to the vibration that will align you with opportunities this year. The Dragon is a natural Earth animal and Wood is the element that controls or overwhelms earth energy. To better describe this, imagine a root bound tree. The earth is bare around the roots that have taken all it can from the earth around it. The way this energy can present itself this year is a feeling of being pushed into things or feeling overwhelmed by everything that is going on around you. Yang wood is similar to a large, dense forest that you can get lost in, if you don’t have a compass. Allow your loved ones to be your compass. If you get overwhelmed, take a break, breathe, meditate, consult the people who have your back. Then move forward.
Each year I come up with a tag phrase that describes the year ahead. For example, the theme for 2020 was, “The Year of the Deep Ugly.” That year we experienced the deepest and ugliest fears of humanity rising to the surface to be exposed and then to be dealt with. Can you relate to that in terms of how you experienced 2020?
I’m calling 2023, “The Year of the Dumpster Fire”. Think about what people throw into the dumpster. Garbage, old paint, chemicals, empty bottles, food, etc. What would happen if it caught fire? A combination of everything that’s in the dumpster would be extremely volatile if it came close to the flame. Now imagine a large dragon breathing fire onto the garbage heap. The flames would burn hot and uncontrollable.
With the dumpster fire, there are a few options this year. If a crowd was gathered around the dumpster fire, you might see some people trying to figure out how the fire started and pointing the finger of blame. Or maybe some trying to put out the fire, getting too close and possibly getting burned. Others might be fighting about a solution to putting out the fire.
Who will you be this year? Will you join the fight against others or against the fire? Or will you be a witness to the fire and see the bigger picture? Fire is the element of transformation. The reason the Dragon starts the fire is to help us release all that no longer serves us. This year will be just that! Allow the fire to burn freely, all that no longer serves you. Throw your fears, anxieties and negative thought processes into the fire and watch it melt away. As you do so, the fire stays contained and won’t spread. However, if you get pulled away from your intentions by what takes place in the world, you may get burned.

It’s the month of the Yang Fire Tiger! The Tiger is the Zodiac Sign of Authority. What are you taking authority over this month? Is it your business? Is it your intention? Your mind? What is it?
The Tiger waits patiently for its prey. Ready to Pounce on its opportunity! What have you been waiting to pounce on? This is the month to move forward!
It’s a Yang Fire month, which means that we need to be aware of what we are putting our focus on. What we put our focus on will catch fire. Fire is the element of surprise and unpredictability. Yang energy is uncontrollable. Having total awareness on what we think and the projects that we want to see come to fruition, is how we can work with the energy of the month, instead of it working against us. Embody the confidence that the Tiger has rather than the arrogance or selfishness. Use this energy to carry your New Year’s intentions into the New Year in a big way!
This month, Monkeys need to buckle down and get serious about what they want to accomplish. I know, I know. You want to play! However, the Tiger is Clashing with you this month. So lay low.
Snakes are getting too comfortable being coiled up in the weeds. This month, the Tiger pulls you out of the weeds and requires you to be seen. So take heed to what the Tiger is teaching you this month and get out of your comfort zone!
