The Yin Fire Rabbit is hopping toward you bringing the end of some chapters and beginning of new ones! The Rabbit is the sign of compassion, healing, and kindness. The Rabbit, being a Wood element animal, will be feeding Yin Fire this month. Make sure that you pay attention to where you focus this fire energy because whatever fire you feed, will grow. The Rabbit gets spooked very easily and goes into fear. So make sure you focus on the positive and creative projects rather than feeding the fear. Fire is unpredictable energy that can burn out of control quickly. Feed your confidence, self love, healing and compassion for others. The Rabbit is the Sign that ruled 2023. March will be a month of reflection on the lessons learned from last year and taking action in applying those lessons in 2024. Take the first few weeks in March to finish up any loose ends from last year and release it. Then you will be ready for new beginnings that come with the Aries season that begins on the 21st!
Speaking of New energy, the New Moon in Pisces is on March 10th! Pisces is the Sign of empathy and compassion. New Moons are all about starting fresh. This particular new moon is begging you to dream bigger! Pisces, the leader of daydreaming, is showing you where you can be more creative in your dreaming. Start that project or spiritual practice which will bring you closer to your goals! This moon will be nice for setting intentions! So let the muse inspire you this month!
The Full Moon in Libra on the 25th, will be a wonderful time to LET GO! What do I mean by that? Remember how March will be filled with a review of 2023? Well, write a list of all of the things that you want to let go of from last year. Add to that list all of the things that you have been putting up with, tolerating and turning a blind eye to. This list represents all of the things that can and will hold you back from having the year that you want. Thank that list for the lessons, and then BURN IT!!!! Libra is all about balance. As you watch the list burn in the fire, allow the flames to transform that energy into the vibration of peace, balance and harmony. Putting you in alignment with your dreams! This year of 2024 is ruled by the Yang Wood Dragon. The Dragon is about what connects us to our creativity, growth, magic and most importantly to each other.
Pisces Season is afoot! Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac, bringing with it the ending of a chapter. I guess you could call this the end of an era.
For example, one of my dearest mentors and friends recently retired from her career as a Hairstylist. As many of you know, I was a hairstylist for 25 years. At the beginning of my career as a stylist I was going through major changes. I had recently come out of the closet and left the Mormon church. I was depressed, searching and felt all alone. Some turn to drugs, sex or alcohol as they go through this, but I turned to hair, make-up and fashion. My inspirations were taken from the Velvet Underground. I dyed my hair black and wore clothes that were a cross between goth drag and rockstar. My makeup was reminiscent of David Bowie and Marilyn Manson. I looked powerful, sexy and scary. It made me feel good! However, the outside world viewed me as a freak, including many salon owners in downtown Salt Lake City. I applied at multiple salons where they took one look at me and dismissed me immediately! I was working at a salon close to the U of U where there were many new stylists that were hungry for new clients. It was nearly impossible to build a clientele. I knew I had to find work elsewhere. So being turned away from multiple salons because of the look that I had carefully curated as my battle armor of protection, was heartbreaking. My Aunt Kim had been going to the same stylist for years who had an opening at her salon. As I walked up the stairs that led to her small salon that had once been an architectural drafting studio, I thought “this is the last salon that I’m going to try”. A woman named Valoy met me at the top of the stairs and I introduced myself. She immediately responded by saying “Cool makeup!” That moment changed my life forever. I knew right then that there were people in the world that would be a safe place for me to land and I had found mine. She taught me techniques that I hadn’t learned in school, not only about hair, but how to work with people. She taught me about patience and the timing of the universe. She also taught me a little about astrology which is where my fascination began. I owe so much of the success I found working in the hair industry to her. Congratulations Valoy! Your more than 60 years in the business made a huge difference in the world!
We have lots of Pisces energy this month! Neptune, Mercury, Saturn and the Sun are all making their way through the sign of dreams and imagination. Later in the month, Venus and Mars will leave Aquarius and join the other planets in Pisces. What does this mean? Well, a few things. As with the New Moon, the theme is dreaming big! Beware of lines getting blurred. This sign needs a lot of boundaries and to keep them. You might need to set a few of them now.
Perhaps the biggest conjunction in the astrological world happening this year, approaches this month. Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Jupiter brings expansion and freedom, while Uranus brings all things unexpected. Pretty interesting combo don’t you think? When you add Taurus to the mix, you have the makings of some seismic shifts. Taurus is the earth sign who hates change the most, so this month may be a challenge for our Taurus friends. However, if you allow this energy to shine a light on where change needs to happen and go with it, magic appears! This conjunction will be exact in April, so globally we will see unexpected shifts begin at the end of March and come to fruition in April. So pay attention to where things need to shift in your life and marvel at the miracles that come from it.
On a global scale, the last time this conjunction happened in Taurus, was May of 1941. Major shifts happened in WW2 during that time. History repeats itself, but with a twist. We may see things amplify with the conflict in Gaza and Ukraine. It is also possible for us to see some big things happening with interest rates and the US economy. Remember how the Rabbit has a tendency to go into fear? It’s ok to be in fear, but don’t stay there. Make sure to remember compassion for yourself and others as you navigate the intensity of the next couple of months.
