It’s finally Spring!!! I don’t know about you, but that was a long winter for me. I’m looking forward to warmer weather!
How did you fare during the month of April? So much happened with the biggest shifts for the astrological year. What changed? What didn’t? What lessons from the Dragon will you take with you into the rest of the year?
This month we have the Yin Earth Snake slithering in to transform old ways of thinking. I like to think of Yin Earth like it’s the sand on the beach. You can pick up a handful and let it fall through your fingers, or you can build a sandcastle with it. It’s moldable and mutable. Have you ever seen the impressions a snake leaves behind when it moves through sand? You can see the zig zag pattern that it leaves behind. This month has the workings of leaving a big impression on all of us.
The Snake is the sign of transformation. I was born in the year of the Snake. The Snake has taught me that transformation is a requirement not a request. Anytime I try to avoid shedding my skin or let go of something that I don’t want to let go of; I’ve learned that it’s easier to slither out of my skin than to have it ripped away. The universe is calling for you to let go of something not serving you. This month is the perfect opportunity!
The New Moon at 18 Taurus is happening on May 7th. Taurus is the sign of values and money. This new moon is rich with opportunities to focus on new projects and money goals. Which house is this New Moon illuminating for you? Mine is the 5th House of creative expression! So, I will make a list of creative goals that I want to accomplish in 2024.
The Sun and Moon will join Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, and later Mercury in the fixed sign Taurus this month, creating a stellium (three or more planets in a sign). Taurus is famous for being moody and stubborn. Rather than digging your hooves into the dirt, which will not help the situation this month, put that energy into hard work and your goals. Remember, the snake is our guide to release stubborn ideas. So, when you find yourself resisting the flow of change, shed that skin!
Jupiter the Planet of good fortune and abundance has been flying through the sign of Taurus. On May 20th, Jupiter moves into the sign of Gemini, the sign of the twins and duality. Gemini’s, this is your year to shine! If you have any major placements in Gemini, plan on expanding your views, goals and dreams for the remainder of 2024.
Pluto the Planet of death and rebirth will go retrograde this month, making its way back to the sign of Capricorn in September. From September to November, Pluto will make its last pass through Capricorn, the sign of government systems. It will have a huge impact on the outcome of the United States election. Grab your popcorn! It’s going to be a wild show!
The Full Moon at 2 Sagittarius on May 23rd will help us to release outdated beliefs and philosophies and embrace creative ways of learning new skills and artistic ventures!
